The Dubai Government Human Resources (DGHR) Department has officially announced that Wednesday, 1st January 2025, will be a public holiday for all government departments in Dubai. This holiday is to mark the celebration of New Year’s Day.
Regular work will resume on Thursday, 2nd January 2025. However, departments, entities, and institutions that operate on shift systems or are responsible for essential public services or managing public facilities will not be observing this holiday. These organizations have the flexibility to decide their employees’ work schedules based on operational needs. This is to ensure that public services and facilities continue to run smoothly during the holiday period.
In its announcement, the DGHR Department also extended warm greetings to the leaders, government officials, and citizens of the UAE, along with all residents. They expressed their wishes for a joyful and successful New Year for everyone.
