The United Arab Emirates has taken major steps to strengthen its cybersecurity system by hiring around 5,000 Emirati professionals in the private sector, especially in the fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, shared that the country faces nearly 200,000 cyberattacks every day. These attacks include serious digital threats such as cyberbullying, online blackmail, hacking attempts, and organized disinformation campaigns that spread false or misleading information online.
To deal with these growing risks, the UAE is actively using artificial intelligence tools. AI helps in detecting suspicious online activities, studying attack patterns, and identifying fake or harmful content quickly. These advanced systems make it easier to respond to threats before they cause major damage. However, human expertise remains equally important, as trained professionals ensure fast decision-making, accurate analysis, and effective action against complex cyber threats.
