Dubai has been named the world’s cleanest city for the fifth year in a row by Japan’s Mori Memorial Foundation’s Global Power City Index (GPCI). The city achieved a perfect 100% cleanliness score, ranking first among 47 major global cities.
One of the key reasons behind this achievement is the Dubai Integrated Waste Management Strategy 2041, which focuses on reducing waste and keeping it out of landfills. The city has a large team of over 3,200 workers and 855 specialized vehicles to maintain cleanliness across roads, waterways, and public spaces.
Dubai also uses advanced technology to improve waste management and sustainability. This includes smart waste systems and electric vehicles, which help make waste collection more efficient and environmentally friendly. These continuous efforts ensure that Dubai remains one of the most well-maintained and sustainable cities in the world.
