Dubai Taxi Co. records 13 Million Trips, Dh 588.3 Million in First Three Months

Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) shared its results for the first quarter of 2025, showing that it had a busy start to the year. The company completed 13 million trips between January and March, which is 8% more compared to the same time last year. This helped DTC earn Dh588.3 million in revenue, an increase of 5% from the previous year.

Even though there were more trips and more money coming in, the company’s net profit went down. DTC made Dh84 million in profit during the first quarter, which is a 23% drop compared to last year.

The decrease in profit was mainly because of special discounts and offers DTC gave to customers during the launch of their service on the Bolt platform. These discounts were part of a strategy to attract more riders and compete with other ride-hailing companies like Uber.

DTC’s CEO, Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, explained that these strong promotions were a smart investment in building long-term relationships with new customers. He added that the promotional offers had already ended by March, and he expects that profits will improve in the future as more people continue using DTC’s services without the need for heavy discounts.

The company remains positive about the future, believing that the short-term drop in profit will lead to stronger growth and a bigger customer base in the coming months.
