UAE Airlines Suspend Flights to 9 Countries After Airspace Shutdowns

Airlines based in the United Arab Emirates, including Emirates, Etihad, and flydubai, have temporarily stopped flights to several countries, including Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iran. This decision comes as tensions continue to rise between Israel and Iran.

The suspension of flights followed reports of major airstrikes by Israel on key military and nuclear locations in Iran. These strikes reportedly resulted in the deaths of high-ranking Iranian military officials, which has increased uncertainty and concern in the region.

Due to these developments, flights to and from several other countries in the Middle East and the Caucasus have also been affected. Many air routes have been closed for safety reasons, leading to widespread cancellations.

Dubai International Airport (DXB), one of the busiest airports in the world, showed a high number of cancelled flights. These included flights to and from Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Israel.

Among the cancelled flights were those going to Iranian cities such as Tehran, Shiraz, and Kish Island. Airlines are closely monitoring the situation and are expected to resume operations once the security situation improves and airspace restrictions are lifted. Travelers are advised to stay updated and check with their airlines for the latest flight information.
