A big fire broke out early Friday morning in Sharjah’s Industrial Area 10 at a place that sells used auto spare parts. The fire sent thick, black smoke high into the sky, which could be seen from far away, including from Mohamed Bin Zayed Road. Many people passing by shared photos and videos of the smoke as it spread over the area.
Sharjah Police and Civil Defense teams reached the site quickly after the fire was reported. They started work right away to bring the flames under control and stop the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. Firefighters have been working hard since early morning, and by Friday afternoon, efforts to put out the fire were still going on.
So far, the local authorities have not given any details about what caused the fire. They have also not confirmed if there have been any injuries or how much damage the fire has caused. Officials have asked people to stay away from the area to allow emergency teams to do their work safely and without any problems.
Residents and workers nearby have been told to keep their windows closed to avoid breathing in the heavy smoke. Roads leading to the affected site were partly closed to help fire trucks and rescue teams move easily.
Emergency services, along with Sharjah Police, are still at the site and working closely together to fully control the situation. More information about the cause and damage is expected once the fire is completely under control and safety checks have been done.
