Dubai is preparing to bring a major change to the way people travel, with plans to launch flying taxis by the year 2026. If everything goes according to schedule, Dubai will become the first city in the world to offer a commercial electric air taxi service for the public.
This exciting development means that people could soon be flying over the city instead of sitting in traffic on the roads. The goal is to make transportation faster, easier, and more futuristic—especially in a city known for its innovation and modern lifestyle.
Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, the CEO of the Public Transport Agency at Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), shared the update and said this progress is possible because of successful full-scale test flights. These test flights were carried out by Joby Aviation, a company based in the United States that specializes in electric air taxis.
The flying taxis are expected to help reduce road congestion, save time, and add a new layer of convenience for travelers. This project is part of Dubai’s larger vision to lead the world in smart and advanced transport solutions.
