In the first half of 2025, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) discovered more than 400 fake Emiratisation cases in the UAE’s private sector.
These cases involved companies hiring Emiratis only on paper, signing contracts without giving them any real job responsibilities. Such practices go against Emiratisation rules, which aim to provide meaningful employment opportunities for UAE nationals.
MoHRE confirmed that strict legal action has been taken against all companies involved in these violations. The ministry also stressed its firm stance on the matter, making it clear that any attempt to misuse the Emiratisation system will not be tolerated.
On the other hand, MoHRE continues to reward companies that follow the rules and support Emiratisation targets.
Businesses that comply receive several benefits, including reduced service fees from the ministry, preference in government tenders, and access to initiatives under the Nafis programme, which helps boost Emirati participation in the workforce.
By June 2025, more than 152,000 UAE citizens were working in private sector roles, showing steady progress in integrating nationals into different industries.
MoHRE also reminded the public that reporting violations is an important part of keeping the system fair. People can share their complaints or suspicions through the ministry’s smart application, call centre, or official website.
The government’s overall goal is to ensure that Emiratisation is implemented in a fair and transparent way, giving UAE nationals genuine career opportunities while encouraging private sector growth and development.
