UAE Residents to Experience Rain, Clouds, and Lower Temperatures from Next Week

Residents across the UAE can look forward to a change in weather beginning October 21, with rainfall, cloudy skies, and cooler temperatures expected, according to Dr. Ahmed Habib, a meteorologist at the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

He explained that the eastern and southern parts of the country are likely to experience scattered showers, while the mountain regions may see heavier and more consistent rainfall. This shift in weather is being caused by a low-pressure system moving in from the Arabian Sea, which is interacting with conditions in the upper atmosphere. Together, these factors are increasing humidity levels and creating unstable weather patterns.

Dr. Habib noted that this period marks the transition between the summer and winter seasons in the UAE. As a result, residents may notice sudden drops in temperature, gusty winds, and even occasional hail in certain areas. The changing weather is expected to bring some relief from the long summer heat while signaling the start of the cooler months ahead.
