Spanish Tourist Rescued After Falling 80 Meters Inside Egypt’s 4,000 Year Old Pyramid

Egyptian rescue teams have successfully saved a Spanish tourist who accidentally fell nearly 80 meters inside the Bent Pyramid of Pharaoh Sneferu in Dahshur.

According to reports, the woman lost her balance while walking down a steep wooden ramp inside one of the pyramid’s narrow passages. She is believed to have suffered a foot fracture during the fall.

Rescue teams faced extreme challenges, including darkness, heat, and very tight spaces, as they worked for several hours to reach her safely. Despite the difficult conditions, they managed to pull her out without causing any damage to the ancient structure.

Authorities have confirmed that the woman received immediate medical care and is now in stable condition. Officials also praised the rescuers for their skill and determination in carrying out such a complex operation inside one of Egypt’s most famous historical monuments.
