The Kalba Federal Court of First Instance has ordered a man to return Dh100,000 to a woman after he failed to deliver the car she had paid for.
The case started when the woman transferred the money for the car, but the payment ended up in another person’s account. After investigating, the court decided that the second person involved was not responsible for the issue.
During the hearing on October 21, 2025, the seller admitted that he was at fault and agreed to repay the full amount through a court-approved payment plan. According to the plan, he will make three monthly payments of Dh2,000 each — on November 1, December 1, and January 1 — and then pay the remaining Dh94,000 by February 1, 2026.
This ruling brings an end to several months of legal proceedings between the two parties, providing closure to the dispute over the undelivered car and ensuring that the buyer will finally receive her money back.
