Umrah packages for the UAE National Day holidays are almost fully booked as travel companies report a big increase in reservations. Many residents, especially single people and solo travelers, are using the four-day break to go on a meaningful spiritual trip.
Travel experts say several reasons have pushed this sudden rise in demand. The weather is cooler now, which makes the journey more comfortable. The long weekend also fits well with work schedules, so people can travel without taking extra leave. For many, the emotional and spiritual value of performing Umrah during this time is also a major reason.
Even though prices have gone up—from around Dh1,400 to Dh1,700—because hotels near the Haram are charging more, most packages were still booked very quickly. These packages usually include flights, visas, guided tours, and accommodation close to Masjid al-Haram, which makes the trip easier for travelers.
Because of this strong demand, this National Day break has become one of the busiest times of the year for Umrah travel, with many operators already running out of available spots.
