UAE Unveils World’s Largest Silver Bar, 1,971kg Piece Breaks Guinness Record

The UAE has introduced the world’s largest silver bar at the Dubai Precious Metals Conference, setting a new Guinness World Record. The bar weighs an impressive 1,971 kilograms and was created by Sam Precious Metals. It contains 63,369 troy ounces of extremely pure silver, with a 999.9 purity level. The bar is 1.3 metres long, and its weight was chosen to honour the year 1971, when the UAE was founded.

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) will keep this silver bar safe with the help of Brink’s, a well-known security company. DMCC also plans to tokenise the bar on a regulated digital platform. This means people will be able to buy small portions of the bar digitally, instead of needing to purchase the whole thing.

This is the first time a precious metal that holds a world record will be tokenised under a fully regulated system. The process ensures transparency, legal protection, and trust for investors. It also meets the increasing global demand for silver, both in industries that use the metal and among people who want to invest in it.
