UAE Records 3.5°C as Winters Lowest Temperature at Jebel Jais

The UAE recorded its coldest temperature of the winter season as temperatures dropped to 3.5°C at Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

The temperature was recorded at midnight on December 20 at Jebel Jais, the highest mountain in the country, which is known for experiencing much colder weather during the winter months compared to other areas.

This cold weather comes after recent rainfall in several parts of the UAE, which led to flooding and waterlogged roads in some locations, disrupting daily life and travel.

As the winter season continues, weather officials expect temperatures to stay cool across the country. Colder conditions are especially likely in mountainous and inland areas, particularly during late night and early morning hours, with noticeable drops in temperature during these times.
