Sheikh Faisal Nouman, the respected muezzin of Masjid An-Nabwi (the Prophet’s Mosque) in Madinah, has passed away after serving the mosque for 25 years. The mosque officially announced his passing on December 23. He was appointed as a muezzin in 2001 and belonged to a family known for producing muezzins, continuing a respected tradition passed down through generations.
Sheikh Faisal was laid to rest at Al-Baqi Cemetery after Fajr prayers. Masjid An-Nabwi also shared his final adhan, which was recorded on November 2, shortly before his passing. Sheikh Dr Abdulrahman Al-Sudais expressed his condolences and prayed for Sheikh Faisal’s forgiveness and high status in paradise. His lifelong dedication to calling worshippers to prayer has left a deep and lasting spiritual impact on millions of Muslims around the world.
