Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited Gulfood 2026 as the world-famous food and beverage exhibition officially opened in Dubai. His visit highlighted the importance of the event and Dubai’s growing role in the global food industry.
This year, Gulfood is being held at two major locations: Expo City Dubai and the Dubai World Trade Centre. The exhibition has doubled in size compared to previous years and brings together participants from 195 countries. Around 8,500 companies from across the world are taking part, showcasing their products, innovations, and ideas under one roof.
More than 1.5 million food and beverage products are on display, making Gulfood one of the largest and most important trade exhibitions globally. The event offers a platform for businesses to connect, explore new markets, and discuss future trends in food production, trade, and sustainability.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the UAE’s strong and strategic role in global food trade and supply chains. He reaffirmed Dubai’s position as a key international hub that connects markets between the East and the West, supporting global commerce and cooperation.
