Qatar Launches’Arabian Gulf Security 4’ Military Exercise with UAE, GCC, and US Units

Qatar has started a major joint military and security exercise called Arabian Gulf Security 4, bringing together forces from the UAE, other GCC countries, and special units from the United States.

The exercise will continue until February 4 and includes more than 70 practical field scenarios along with over 260 hours of intensive training. These drills focus on a wide range of security challenges, including counter-terrorism operations, tackling organized crime, managing emergency situations, protecting key facilities, and running joint command and control operations.

According to Brigadier Abdulaziz Ahmad Al Hajri, the UAE’s participation reflects its strong commitment to enhancing security cooperation across the Gulf region. He emphasized the importance of improving operational readiness, strengthening coordination between partner forces, and exchanging professional expertise.

Arabian Gulf Security 4 offers a realistic and high-pressure training environment designed to improve teamwork, field integration, and joint response capabilities. The exercise aims to ensure that participating forces are better prepared to handle evolving and complex security threats, while reinforcing regional stability and collective security cooperation.
