Dubai’s Salik Announces Revised Ramadan Toll Gate Fees

Salik has announced updated toll gate charges in Dubai for the holy month of Ramadan, introducing a new schedule to help manage traffic flow during the period. The revised toll system will apply from Monday to Saturday, with peak-hour charges set at Dh6 for travel between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. During low-peak hours, which run from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., the toll fee will be Dh4. Travel during the off-peak period from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. will remain free of charge, allowing motorists to move without any toll costs during these early morning hours.

On Sundays, the peak-hour toll rate will be reduced to Dh4, while the low-peak and free off-peak timings will remain the same as during the rest of the week. These adjustments have been introduced to accommodate changes in daily routines, as work and school hours typically shift during Ramadan, leading to altered traffic patterns across the city.

The updated toll schedule is part of Salik’s efforts to improve traffic management, reduce congestion, and provide commuters with predictable travel costs during this busy period. Authorities have highlighted that these changes are designed to make travel smoother and more efficient for residents and visitors alike, especially during the peak daytime hours. Ramadan in Dubai is expected to begin following the official moon sighting on February 17, and motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and be aware of the new toll charges.
