Dubai is combining innovation with compassion through the introduction of AI-powered, solar-run Ehsan Stations designed to support the city’s stray animal population. Installed across 12 locations, these smart stations are capable of serving around 200 to 300 meals daily to stray cats and other animals. The initiative reflects the city’s growing focus on using advanced technology to address community and environmental concerns while promoting humane solutions for animal welfare.
Equipped with smart sensors and monitoring cameras, the stations are designed to regulate feeding times, prevent overfeeding, and maintain cleanliness in public spaces. In addition to providing food, the initiative also supports broader animal welfare programs such as trap-neuter-return and vaccination efforts, helping control the stray population in a humane and sustainable way. By integrating renewable solar energy and artificial intelligence, Dubai continues to demonstrate how modern technology can be used not only to build smarter cities but also to promote empathy and responsible care for animals.
