Dubai Court Orders Luxury Car Brand Lexus to Pay Dhs 40,000 to Client

A court in Dubai has directed a luxury transport company to pay Dh40,000 to a customer after a dispute related to the purchase of a high-end vehicle. The ruling also includes an annual interest rate of 5% calculated from the date the case was filed, along with full reimbursement of court fees, reinforcing the financial responsibility placed on the company.

According to case details, the customer had been making installment payments for a 2023 Lexus when the company allegedly repossessed the vehicle without providing a refund of the amount already paid. The situation escalated when the company failed to respond to a formal legal notice issued by the customer, prompting the matter to be taken to court.

During the proceedings, the company did not appear before the court or submit any form of defense, which significantly influenced the outcome. After reviewing the evidence presented, the court found the customer’s claims to be valid and ruled in their favor. The decision highlights the importance of transparency, contractual compliance, and accountability under UAE law, sending a clear message to businesses about their obligations toward consumers.
