Cristiano Ronaldo showed remarkable determination by playing through illness as Al Nassr FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Al Ettifaq FC, a result that brings them even closer to clinching the Saudi Pro League title with just four matches left in the season.
Despite reportedly dealing with stomach pain and significant fatigue, the 41-year-old forward chose to start the match, underlining his commitment to the team at a critical stage of the campaign. Concerns over his fitness did little to slow him down on the pitch, as he remained heavily involved throughout the game. Ronaldo created multiple attacking opportunities, took several shots on goal, and played an influential role in the buildup to the decisive moment that ultimately secured the win.
His effort came at a physical cost, however. After being substituted in the 89th minute, he appeared visibly unwell, and reports later indicated that he vomited in the dressing room following the match.
Even so, Al Nassr’s narrow victory extended their winning streak and strengthened their position at the top of the table, reinforcing their push toward the league title as the season enters its final stretch.
