On behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince attended a special ceremony where a series of honorary gifts and commemorative tributes were presented in recognition of the King’s lifelong dedication to Qur’anic education and religious service spanning more than six decades.
The event celebrated the King’s enduring efforts in supporting the teaching, memorization, interpretation, and spread of the Holy Qur’an across Saudi Arabia and beyond. During the ceremony, several symbolic gifts were presented, including a luxury honorary shield, a beautifully handwritten copy of the Holy Qur’an, and two commemorative plaques highlighting significant milestones connected to his service to Islamic education.
One of the plaques honored King Salman’s early achievement of completing the memorization of the Holy Qur’an at the age of ten, reflecting his deep connection with Islamic teachings from childhood. Another plaque featured the names of more than 21,000 beneficiaries associated with the Riyadh Qur’an Memorization Society, known as Maknoon, recognizing the broad impact of initiatives supported under his patronage.
The ceremony also highlighted the important role played by charitable and non-profit organizations in strengthening religious education, social welfare, and community development. The Crown Prince praised these organizations for their efforts in promoting Islamic values, supporting youth education, encouraging volunteerism, and contributing positively to society through various humanitarian and educational programs.
The recognition further underscored King Salman’s longstanding commitment to preserving and promoting Qur’anic learning as a central pillar of cultural and religious life in the Kingdom.
