Sharjah Municipality has announced free public parking across the emirate from May 27 to 29 in observance of the Eid Al Adha holidays, offering relief to residents and visitors during one of the busiest festive periods of the year. The decision is aimed at making travel and movement easier as thousands of people are expected to visit shopping malls, parks, markets, and popular leisure destinations during the celebrations.
The municipality clarified that the exemption will only apply to regular public parking spaces, while smart parking zones and areas that usually require payment throughout the week and on official holidays will continue to operate under normal paid regulations. Authorities have urged motorists to park responsibly, use designated parking areas, and avoid obstructing roads or emergency access points in order to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure public safety across the city during the Eid holidays.
