UAE Schools Close for 8-Week Summer Break from July 3

Schools across the United Arab Emirates will officially close for the annual summer vacation on Friday, July 3, 2026, bringing the 2025–2026 academic year to an end for thousands of students across the country.

The start of the eight-week holiday marks one of the longest school breaks of the year, giving students, teachers, and families a well-deserved opportunity to rest after completing another academic session.

During the extended break, many families are expected to travel abroad, visit relatives, or take part in local recreational activities, while others will enrol their children in educational programmes, sports academies, and summer camps being organised across the UAE.

With outdoor temperatures remaining extremely high throughout the season, indoor attractions, cultural venues, and family entertainment centres are also expected to see an increase in visitors.

According to the official academic calendar, the 2026–2027 school year will begin on Monday, August 31, 2026, when students and teachers return to classrooms to start a new term.

Education authorities have encouraged families to use the holiday period to balance relaxation with learning opportunities, ensuring students return refreshed and prepared for the upcoming academic year.
