Motorists in Abu Dhabi have been reminded to park responsibly near mosques or risk a Dh500 fine, as authorities intensify efforts to maintain smooth traffic flow and public safety, particularly during Friday prayers.
Police urged drivers to use designated parking spaces and avoid stopping in unauthorized areas that can obstruct traffic, block emergency vehicles, or restrict access to mosque entrances.
Officials emphasized that parking behind other vehicles or causing any obstruction is a violation of UAE traffic regulations. The campaign aims to improve road safety, ensure easier access for worshippers, and keep emergency routes clear during peak prayer times.
