A Dubai school is set to introduce a Motorsport Academy for the 2026–27 academic year, giving students a unique opportunity to explore the exciting world of motorsport through hands-on learning in racing, engineering, technology, and business.
The programme, launching at GEMS School of Research and Innovation, will be open to students in Years 4 to 9 and will feature weekly training and practical sessions at Dubai Autodrome, one of the UAE’s premier motorsport venues.
Students will gain firsthand experience in various aspects of the industry, combining classroom knowledge with real-world activities.
Designed to go beyond traditional sports programmes, the academy aims to develop essential skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and innovation.
Through interactive projects and practical experiences, students will gain a deeper understanding of how motorsport integrates science, technology, engineering, and business.
School officials said the initiative will also introduce students to the wide range of career opportunities available within the global motorsport industry, including engineering, vehicle design, data analytics, mechanics, media, marketing, and event management.
As the UAE continues to strengthen its position as a major destination for international motorsport events, the academy is expected to inspire the next generation of talent and prepare students for future careers in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries.
