Dubai motorists can now renew their driving licences more quickly and conveniently after the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) expanded its network of approved eye test centres by 30%.
The initiative is aimed at improving accessibility and streamlining one of the key steps in the licence renewal process.
With 434 approved eye test centres now operating across Dubai, drivers can complete the mandatory vision screening in as little as 5 to 10 minutes.
Once the test is finished, the results are submitted directly to the RTA through an electronic system, eliminating the need for paperwork and significantly reducing processing times.
The expansion comes in response to growing demand for digital government services. During the first half of 2026, more than 854,000 eye test transactions were recorded, reflecting the increasing number of residents using the service.
The enhanced network is expected to make driving licence renewals faster, more efficient, and more accessible for motorists across the emirate.
