Al Ain’s iconic Clock Roundabout has been transformed with a striking new design that seamlessly combines Emirati heritage with Swiss craftsmanship, giving one of the UAE’s most recognizable landmarks a modern identity while preserving its historical significance. The revamped roundabout now features illuminated architectural arches and a suspended four-faced clock inspired by OMEGA’s renowned Constellation collection, creating a distinctive centerpiece for the city.
First established in 1970, the Clock Roundabout has long served as a symbolic meeting point and a familiar landmark for generations of residents and visitors. As part of the redevelopment, authorities have also introduced upgraded road infrastructure, wider pedestrian walkways, dedicated cycling lanes, enhanced landscaping, and modern lighting systems to improve safety, accessibility, and the overall urban experience.
The redevelopment reflects Al Ain’s commitment to preserving its cultural legacy while embracing innovation and sustainable urban development. Officials say the project ensures the historic landmark will continue to serve as a timeless symbol of the city’s identity, welcoming future generations and reinforcing Al Ain’s reputation as one of the UAE’s most culturally significant destinations.
