Abu Dhabi has introduced 18 new smart ambulances as part of efforts to strengthen emergency medical services and improve response capabilities across the emirate.
The new fleet consists of six ambulances in each of three specialised categories, allowing medical teams to respond more effectively to different types of emergencies.
The fleet includes mobile intensive care unit ambulances equipped to provide advanced medical support, specialised vehicles for mothers and newborns, and ambulances designed to safely accommodate patients with severe obesity and complex mobility requirements.
Connected to Abu Dhabi’s Unified Medical Operations Centre, the ambulances feature advanced medical equipment and smart communication systems that enable emergency teams to coordinate care from the earliest stages of an incident.
The initiative reflects Abu Dhabi’s continued focus on modernising emergency healthcare services, enhancing patient safety and providing specialised medical support when it is needed most.
