Gulf airlines have secured several notable positions in the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, with major carriers from the region featuring prominently among the world’s top-ranked airlines.
Qatar Airways secured second place in the global rankings, while Emirates was ranked sixth and Saudia took the 15th position. Singapore Airlines claimed the top spot in the passenger-voted rankings.
Qatar Airways also received the awards for World’s Best Business Class and Best Airline in the Middle East.
Emirates was recognised for having the World’s Best Inflight Entertainment, while Saudia received the award for Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East.
The Skytrax rankings are based on passenger votes from travellers representing more than 100 nationalities.
The results reflect feedback from international passengers on their experiences with airlines across different areas of service.
The latest rankings highlight the continued presence of Gulf-based carriers among leading airlines in the global aviation industry, with Qatar Airways, Emirates and Saudia each receiving recognition in different categories.
