Apple is expanding options for iPad users with the introduction of a new, Apple Pencil, priced at $79 (U.S). This stylus offers pixel-perfect precision, low delay, and tilt sensitivity, making it an excellent tool for tasks like note-taking, sketching, annotating, journaling, and more. With a sleek matte finish and a flat side, the new Apple Pencil can be conveniently attached to the side of an iPad using magnets for easy storage. Availability for the new Apple Pencil is set to begin in early November.

Bob Borchers, Apple’s VP of Worldwide Product Marketing, highlighted the impact of the Apple Pencil, stating, “Apple Pencil has revolutionized note-taking, sketching, and illustrating, unleashing endless possibilities for productivity and creativity. Combined with the versatility of iPad, the new Apple Pencil unlocks another great option to experience the magic of digital handwriting, annotation, marking up documents, and more.”

    Expanding Options for Apple Pencil

Apple Pencil has pushed the boundaries of creativity and extended the capabilities of iPad. The new Apple Pencil brings amazing features that iPad users appreciate, all at a budget-friendly price of $79 (U.S). Importantly, it is compatible with all iPad models that have a USB-C port, offering iPad users a wider choice of Apple Pencil options.

Enhanced Performance, Easy Pairing, and Charging

The new Apple Pencil maintains the high standard set by previous versions in terms of precision, low latency, and tilt sensitivity. This means you get the same exceptional performance when using iPadOS features like Scribble, Quick Note, and collaborative work in Freeform. For iPad Pro models featuring the M2 chip, the new Apple Pencil even supports hover, enabling users to sketch and illustrate with even greater accuracy.

Charging and pairing the new Apple Pencil is simple. A USB-C port is concealed beneath a sliding cap, allowing users to connect it to the Pencil using a USB-C cable. When magnetically attached to the side of an iPad for storage, the new Apple Pencil automatically enters a sleep mode to conserve its battery life.
