Abu Dhabi will introduce a new type of license plate for commercial motorcycles starting January 1, 2025. These new plates will be yellow and are specifically for commercial bicycles, while red plates will continue to be used for personal bicycles.
Owners of bicycles will need to change their plates if their ownership expires, their number is updated, or a new plate is issued. This change, announced by Abu Dhabi’s Department of Mobility (AD Mobility), is part of an initiative to improve the organization of transportation in the emirate.
The goal is to make roads safer and better structured by clearly distinguishing commercial vehicles from personal ones.
