Abu Dhabi is getting a new indoor wildlife attraction called The Butterfly Gardens, which will open on January 9 at Al Qana Walk, close to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The attraction is designed to offer visitors a unique nature experience in a comfortable, climate-controlled indoor setting.
The Butterfly Gardens will be home to more than 10,000 butterflies living inside specially built biodomes that maintain the right temperature and environment for them. In addition to butterflies, the facility will also feature a variety of tropical animals and rare rainforest species. These include sloths, tamanduas, and different types of exotic birds, giving visitors a chance to see animals usually found in distant regions of the world.
Guests will be able to walk through beautifully planted pathways, enjoy peaceful koi ponds, and explore themed areas inspired by landscapes from Asia and the Americas. The design aims to create an immersive experience that feels like stepping into a real rainforest.
Ticket prices start at Dh55, making it an affordable attraction for families and tourists. A combined ticket is also available for Dh150, which allows entry to both The Butterfly Gardens and The National Aquarium, offering even more value for visitors.
