Dubai is preparing to welcome the year 2026 with large-scale New Year celebrations across the city. The festivities will feature record-breaking fireworks at several locations and, for the first time ever, a special drone show at the Dubai Frame, adding a new attraction for residents and visitors.
To help people fully enjoy the celebrations, Dubai Municipality has announced extended operating hours for public parks and recreational areas on December 31, 2025, and January 1, 2026. These extended timings are aimed at giving families, tourists, and groups more time to relax and take part in outdoor activities during the holiday period.
Well-known parks such as Al Safa Park and Zabeel Park will remain open until 1:00 am, allowing visitors to stay late and enjoy the festive atmosphere. In addition, several residential parks, children’s parks, and lake-side parks across different neighbourhoods will also operate with late-night hours to accommodate the increased number of visitors.
With pleasant winter weather, open green spaces, and exciting shows planned across the city, people will have many options to celebrate the New Year outdoors. From picnics and family outings to enjoying fireworks and drone displays, Dubai’s parks and public spaces will play a key role in creating a joyful and memorable start to 2026 for everyone.
