To celebrate the New Year, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced that parking in all public areas will be free of charge on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. This means you can park without paying on that day. However, parking in multi-storey parking facilities will still require payment as usual.
Paid parking will return to normal from Thursday, January 2, 2025.
For those using public transportation, Dubai Metro will operate continuously starting from 5:00 AM on December 31, 2024, and will keep running without any breaks until the end of January 1, 2025. Similarly, the Dubai Tram will run from 6:00 AM on December 31, 2024, until 1:00 AM on January 2, 2025.
Public buses will also operate during this period, but some routes may be temporarily suspended during the holiday. Travelers are advised to plan their journeys in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
This special schedule aims to make it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy the New Year’s celebrations across the city.
