Authorities in the UAE have announced that Dubai Parks and Resorts and Global Village will remain closed on March 2 as a precautionary safety measure in light of heightened security alerts across the country. The decision comes as part of broader efforts to prioritize the safety and well-being of residents and visitors. Both destinations had already suspended operations on March 1, and officials have confirmed that the closures will continue until further notice.
Dubai Parks and Resorts, one of the region’s leading entertainment hubs, features several major attractions including Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Dubai, Real Madrid World, Legoland Water Park, Riverland Dubai, and the Lapita Hotel. These venues typically draw thousands of families and tourists each day, making the temporary shutdown a significant but precautionary step. Similarly, Global Village, known for its cultural pavilions, entertainment shows, and international shopping experience, will also remain closed during this period.
In addition to these attractions, authorities have confirmed the suspension of activities at Jebel Jais attractions as well as the Ras Al Khaimah Ramadan Police Football Championship. Officials continue to urge residents and tourists to strictly follow safety guidelines and stay informed through official websites and verified social media channels for updates regarding reopening schedules and further announcements.
