Very old Mediterranean olive trees, some believed to be up to 2,500 years old, will soon be replanted at Keturah Reserve, a residential development located in Mohammed Bin Rashid City, Dubai. Each tree is extremely valuable, with an estimated worth of around Dh1 million, due to its age, rarity, and historical importance.
These olive trees are being carefully brought in from Spain and Italy, countries famous for their long olive-growing traditions. To protect the trees, special methods will be used to transport and replant them safely. Once placed in the community, the trees will become part of beautifully designed landscaped areas. The goal is to help residents feel closer to nature and enjoy a healthier, more peaceful living environment.
Keturah Reserve is a large-scale project covering 405,543 square metres. It will include a variety of homes, such as apartments, townhouses, and villas. The buildings are designed to allow plenty of natural sunlight and fresh air, creating bright, open, and comfortable living spaces.
The development will be completed in stages, with handover of homes expected to begin in 2027 and continue into early 2028. By combining modern residential design with ancient natural elements, Keturah Reserve aims to offer a unique lifestyle that blends luxury, wellbeing, and a deep connection to nature.
