Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a major upgrade to the Trade Centre Roundabout, a key junction that handles heavy traffic every day. The goal is to significantly reduce travel times and make driving smoother for millions of people who use the route.
Once the project is completed, travel on one of the main routes will drop from 12 minutes to just 90 seconds. Another route, which currently takes around six minutes to cross, will be reduced to only one minute. These changes will make a big difference for daily commuters and businesses that rely on fast movement across the city.
The upgrade includes building several new bridges that will connect important streets around the Trade Centre area. These bridges will allow traffic to flow more efficiently and will help double the junction’s overall capacity. The RTA estimates that more than 3.5 million vehicles pass through this area every day, so easing congestion here is a major priority.
In addition to this, the Al Mustaqbal Street Improvement Project is also moving forward. This plan will widen key lanes and improve the road layout. Once finished, it will increase the road’s capacity by nearly one-third and reduce travel time from 13 minutes to six minutes. These improvements will support smoother movement between major business districts and residential areas.
Both projects are part of Dubai’s ongoing efforts to enhance traffic flow, reduce congestion, and improve the overall travel experience for residents, workers, and tourists.
