Heavy Rain Hits RAK, Fujairah and Parts of Dubai

Heavy rain was reported in several parts of the UAE on December 29. Areas such as Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and some parts of Dubai saw moderate to heavy rainfall throughout the day, affecting daily activities and road conditions.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued yellow and amber weather alerts, asking residents to stay alert and take extra care, especially while travelling. These alerts were released due to changing weather conditions and the possibility of sudden heavy rain in some areas.

Rain was also recorded in Masafi, Aasmah, Murbad, Al Lisaili, and along the Khor Fakkan Road. In a few locations, small hail was reported along with rain, making roads slippery and increasing the risk of accidents. Drivers were advised to slow down, keep a safe distance from other vehicles, and avoid flooded areas.

Weather conditions are expected to remain cloudy, with high humidity and light to moderate winds, especially in the northern and eastern regions of the country. Authorities have urged people to follow safety instructions, stay updated with official weather reports, and remain cautious until conditions improve.
