Indian PM Modi has “Become an International Joke,” Defence Minister Khawaja Asif

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has strongly criticised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a “global joke” and claiming that he is becoming more isolated both internationally and within India.

While speaking to reporters in Islamabad, Asif did not hold back as he mocked Modi’s reputation on the world stage. He said that Modi tries to reach out to other leaders but they avoid him, which shows how badly his diplomatic image has been damaged.

The Defence Minister pointed out that despite India’s efforts to appear strong and respected globally, its actions and Modi’s leadership style have led to more distance between India and other countries. He added that Modi’s aggressive policies and statements often create problems for India’s foreign relations and weaken its standing at international forums.

Asif further claimed that Modi’s domestic popularity is also suffering. According to him, ordinary people in India are starting to see the gap between Modi’s promises and the reality of daily struggles. Rising inflation, unemployment, and social tensions have added to public frustration.

The Minister’s comments come at a time when ties between Pakistan and India remain tense. Both countries have exchanged strong words over various regional and international issues.

Khawaja Asif concluded by saying that Pakistan will continue to highlight what he described as India’s failures under Modi’s rule, and that the world can see how India’s diplomatic charm is losing its shine. For now, the remarks add another layer to the already strained relationship between the two neighbouring countries.
