A Dubai court has sentenced an Asian national to one month in jail and ordered his deportation after he was found guilty of stealing a laptop worth Dh3,000 from a retail store.
According to court records, the theft took place during a busy time at the store when staff members were occupied assisting other customers. Taking advantage of the situation, the man stole the laptop and left the premises without paying.
