New Bridge Between Jumeriah and Al Mina Streets to Cut Travel Time from 12 Mins to 4 Mins

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a brand-new bridge that connects Jumeirah Street to Al Mina Street, leading toward the Infinity Bridge. The bridge is 985 meters long and has two lanes. It can handle up to 3,200 vehicles every hour, which will help ease traffic in that busy area.

This bridge is part of Phase 4 of a larger project called the Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project. The goal of this project is to improve traffic flow and make travel quicker and easier for people driving in that part of Dubai.

Thanks to the new bridge, the time it takes to travel between Jumeirah Street and Al Mina Street will drop by a lot. What used to take 12 minutes will now only take about 4 minutes — a 67% reduction in travel time. This is great news for people who commute daily or often drive through that area.

But that’s not all. A second bridge is also being built as part of the same project. This upcoming bridge will be 780 meters long and will have three lanes. It is planned to open in the middle of 2025. Once completed, it will connect the Infinity Bridge to Al Wasl Street. This second bridge will help even more by adding extra road space and improving traffic capacity.

These new developments show how Dubai is continuing to invest in better roads and transportation systems to support its growing population and improve the daily lives of residents and visitors.
