Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the second son of the late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, has passed away at the age of 75.
His funeral prayer will take place today at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh, where family members, government officials, and well-wishers are expected to gather to pay their final respects.
Prince Mohammed bin Fahd spent his early years in Saudi Arabia, where he completed his initial education. He later traveled to the United States and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Over the years, he held several important positions in Saudi Arabia. One of his most significant roles was serving as the Governor of the Eastern Province, where he worked on various development projects.
He was also known for his dedication to social welfare and youth empowerment. He introduced the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Youth Development Program, which aimed to support young people by providing them with educational and career opportunities.
His humanitarian efforts were recognized internationally. In 2002, he received a United Nations Global Award for his contributions to charitable and social causes.
