Sharjah Inaugurates Ap Nassr Mosque in Al Dhaid with 20m Glass Dome and 38m Minaret

Sharjah has unveiled the magnificent Al Nasr Mosque in the Jabal Omar district just ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, offering worshippers a striking new spiritual landmark that blends contemporary architecture with traditional Islamic design elements.

The mosque stands out for its breathtaking 20-metre glass dome, crafted with intricate hexagonal panels that allow natural light to cascade into the prayer hall. At sunset, the dome bathes the interior in a warm golden glow, creating a serene and uplifting atmosphere for congregational prayers. Adding to its architectural distinction is a 38-metre twisted minaret that rises elegantly into the skyline, symbolizing both innovation and faith. Inside, the mosque features a futuristic mimbar designed with smooth, flowing lines and subtle built-in lighting that enhances the spiritual ambiance.

Spanning approximately 7,800 square metres, Al Nasr Mosque has the capacity to accommodate up to 1,325 worshippers, with thoughtfully designated and comfortable prayer areas for women. The facility also includes well-designed ablution areas, a dedicated library for religious study, and a tranquil fountain courtyard surrounded by landscaped gardens. Together, these features create a peaceful environment not only for daily prayers but also for community gatherings and iftar during Ramadan, reflecting Sharjah’s continued commitment to enriching religious and cultural life in the emirate.
