Sharjah has initiated the construction of a new roundabout in Kalba as part of efforts to upgrade and enhance the city’s western entrance. The project is being carried out under the directives of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, reflecting a broader vision to improve both infrastructure and the overall aesthetic appeal of the area.
A standout feature of the development will be a central fountain designed to spray rose-scented water, creating a unique and memorable sensory experience for visitors and residents alike. This distinctive element is expected to add a touch of cultural charm while reinforcing Kalba’s identity as a welcoming destination.
To further improve accessibility and safety, the project also includes the construction of a pedestrian tunnel beneath the road. This will allow people to move around the area comfortably and securely, while also providing a space where visitors can walk, relax, and enjoy the surroundings without traffic concerns.
Overall, the initiative highlights Sharjah’s continued commitment to urban development, combining functionality with beauty. By focusing on enhancing key entry points like Kalba, the emirate aims to create a more inviting environment that leaves a lasting impression on everyone who arrives.
