Sheikh Mohammed Meets UAE National Emirates Pilots at Dubai Airshow 2025

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, met a group of UAE National pilots from Emirates during the Dubai Airshow 2025.

He was joined by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum as he spoke with the pilots and appreciated the airline for investing in Emirati talent and helping strengthen the UAE’s position in global aviation.

A total of 40 Emirati pilots attended the meeting, including two women. Their presence showed how opportunities for young Emiratis—especially women—are growing in important and high-skill roles within the aviation sector.

Emirates currently has almost 900 UAE Nationals working as Captains and First Officers, along with more than 300 cadets who are training to become future pilots. This strong focus on developing local talent is helping the airline ensure long-term growth, build a diverse workforce, and maintain high standards of operational excellence for the years ahead.
