Dubai Police have arrested 41 people from Arab countries who were running a large begging network. These individuals were using a hotel as their main base for the operation. During the arrest, the police recovered over 60,000 dirhams in cash that had been collected through begging.
All of the suspects had come to the United Arab Emirates on visit visas. They were caught as part of a special operation called “Al-Misbah,” which was launched to stop illegal begging activities. Police had been watching the group closely and acted quickly to arrest them. During questioning, the suspects admitted that they were working together as part of an organized group.
This action is part of Dubai Police’s wider campaign to stop begging in the city. The goal of this campaign is to protect the public, raise awareness, and keep the city safe and respectable. The successful operation shows how serious the police are about stopping these kinds of crimes and making sure that Dubai continues to be seen as a clean, lawful, and civilized city.
