    Temperature Hit 50.1 C UAE’s AI Ain

Temperatures in the UAE reached a scorching 50.1ºC in the Sweihan area of Al Ain on Friday, June 13, as the country moves deeper into the summer season. This extremely high temperature was confirmed by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Earlier this month, an even higher temperature of 50.8ºC had been recorded, showing a concerning trend of rising heat levels.

Weather experts are advising everyone to take extra care to stay safe during this period of intense heat. They have warned that being outside in such high temperatures for too long can be dangerous, especially for people who are more vulnerable — such as older adults, young children, and those with existing health problems like heart or breathing conditions.

In addition to becoming hotter, the heat is also lasting for longer hours each day. This means the risk of heat exhaustion, dehydration, and other heat-related illnesses is increasing. Experts say that this pattern of rising and prolonged heat is part of a bigger global issue — climate change — which is causing more frequent and extreme weather conditions.

People are being urged to drink plenty of water, avoid going outside during the hottest parts of the day, wear light clothing, and stay in shaded or air-conditioned places whenever possible. Taking these precautions can help reduce the risk of getting sick due to the intense heat.
