The UAE and Russia are enhancing their economic and strategic partnerships amid challenging global geopolitical conditions, with President Sheikh Mohamed’s upcoming visit to Russia set to boost bilateral collaboration.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohamed will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening ties in important areas such as the economy, trade, investment, and energy. They will also address regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Additionally, Sheikh Mohamed will attend the 16th BRICS summit in Kazan from October 22 to 24. This will mark the UAE’s first participation as a member of the organization since joining earlier this year.
Economic relations between the two countries are thriving, with total trade reaching $11.4 billion last year, according to the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
The UAE’s imports from Russia, which mainly include pearls, precious stones, and mineral products, amounted to $6.64 billion. This growing partnership reflects both nations’ commitment to strengthening their economic ties and collaborating on key global challenges.
