The United Arab Emirates has officially extended the Nafis programme through to 2040, reaffirming its long-term commitment to strengthening the role of Emirati talent in the private sector. The announcement was made by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who also serves as Chairman of the Presidential Court.
Launched under the vision and leadership of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the programme is a cornerstone of the country’s strategy to achieve sustainable Emiratisation. It focuses on equipping UAE nationals with the skills, opportunities, and support needed to thrive in a competitive labour market.
The extension reflects the UAE’s continued efforts to empower its citizens, boost their participation across key industries, and position them as a driving force behind economic growth. By fostering talent development and encouraging private sector engagement, the Nafis programme is set to play an even greater role in shaping a resilient, diversified, and future-ready national economy.
